Program Description:

Duckett's Grove - Ireland
JSA Republic of Ireland & Scotland:  History, Culture and Modern Times
This program begins in Carlow, Ireland where students will explore the topics of migration, the fight for Irish freedom and the new Ireland. Students will learn Irish history, cultural practices, healthcare, brewing and sustainable farming as part of the theme mentioned above. The program will also include Irish dance, music, food and excursions to the Wicklow Mountains, Mount Leinster, the Dunbrody Famine Ship, and several Irish castles. Students will also explore the relationship between and Ireland and Scotland and spend time in Glasgow. All students will enroll in EXPL 292: Jacks Start Abroad course. Class attendance during Fall 2025 is required.
