Program Description:

Salford
*Students must be in Athletic Training program at SDSU to participate in the University of Salford program.

Location

The University of Salford is located in the heart of Salford, just 2 miles from Manchester city centre. The University of Salford is only an hour away from Liverpool. The university is surrounded by local stores including shopping centers and supermarkets.

The University

The University of Salford has four campuses:
  • Peek Park
  • MediaCityUK
  • Frederick Road
  • Adelphi
These campuses support over 20,000 students. Over 3,000 international students call this university home. Three of the campuses are within a ten minute walk of each other, with a free campus bus service. Salford Crescent railway station is in the middle of campus with direct trains to Manchester and other parts of the northwest.

Course Options

Students will be taught in a variety of ways ranging from lectures and and seminars to field trips and laboratory lessons focused on athletic training. The University of Salford offers many courses within the sports science program.

Accommodations & Meals

The University of Salford has many options for international students on campus. There are over 2,400 rooms available all within walking distance of the main campus. The accommodations vary from en-suite to flats. The University of Salford has many excellent restaurants and other dining locations on campus.

Costs & Financial Aid

The cost of the SDSU-Salford program is approximately 10-15% more than what you would pay to attend SDSU, depending on housing and other choices. Students pay SDSU tuition and fees and pay Salford housing and meal costs. Additional costs include international airfare, passport, visa, and personal expenses including additional travel. This program is eligible for state and federal financial aid as long as students are enrolled in at least 12 credits during a semester.
