Manchester
Location
Manchester Metropolitan University is in the heart of Manchester, England. Manchester is a diverse city of 2.5 million which is located in the country's northwest. Manchester has many restaurants, great shopping, direct air access to the U.S. and Europe, and major rail access within the UK.

The University
MMU has seven campsues. Five reside in Manchester and the other two in Cheshure. MMU is home to 80,000 students and is the UK's largest university, but with the feel of a small community of scholars and learners. Students interact closely with their professors. Most students at MMU are from the UK, but many also come from around the globe.

Course Options
MMU has something for every student. The university offers more than 130 programs of study including art, health, business, fashion design, engineering, English, geography, history, and the sciences.

Accommodations & Meals
MMU has many residence halls, all with excellent facilities. Some halls include meal plans while others are considered 'self-catering', where students purchase their own food and prepare it in shared kitchens.

Eligibility & Application
Any full-time SDSU student at the sophomore level or above and in good academic standing may apply for the MMU program. Students in any major may apply, but are encouraged to consult with their respective academic advisor before beginning the application process. Students with a 2.5 GPA or better are more likely to be accepted into the program. In addition to an application form, students are required to submit one official transcript, two letters of reference, and a written statement of purpose as part of the application process to the Study Abroad Office. Once we receive these materials we will nominate you to Manchester Metropolitan University. Spaces are limited and admission to the program is competitive. Institution deadlines for application are March 15th for Fall semester or full-year admissions, and September 15th for Spring semester admissions.

Costs & Financial Aid
The cost of the SDSU-Manchester program is approximately 15-25% more than what you would pay to attend SDSU, depending on the housing and other choices. Students pay SDSU tuition and fees and pay Manchester housing and meals costs. Additional costs include international airfare, passport, visa, and personal expenses including additional travel. This program is eligible for state and federal financial aid as long as students are enrolled in at least 12 credits during a semester. Please contact the SDSU Office of Financial Aid for details at 688-4702.
