SDSU COVID-19 Resources and Metrics

The Office of International Affairs is available to support faculty as they plan and execute faculty-led programs during spring break and the summer. As a part of the Office of International Affairs support, our office has compiled a list of helpful resources to aid faculty throughout their program preparation.
 
  • Fragomen
    • The COVID-19 pandemic is having an unprecedented impact on immigration policies and processes worldwide. Check Fragomen for updates on travel restrictions, quarantine requirements and health assessments.
  • IHME
    • This website provides information focused on the worldwide impact of COVID-19 in regards to vaccine coverage, mortality rates, infections and testing, policy briefings and much more.
  • Our World in Data
    • Our World in Data provides up-to-date information on the percentage of the population that has received a COVID-19 vaccine, mortality rates, hospitalizations and policy responses.
  • Center for Disease Control (CDC)
    • The CDC provides information on diseases and conditions and helpful information for travelers. Visitors can look up their intended travel destination and view what the CDC recommends in terms of vaccinations and updated travel notices.
  • Global Health Security Index (GHS Index)
    • The GHS Index is the first comprehensive assessment of global health security capabilities in 195 countries. 
  • U.S. Department of State - Bureau of Consular Affairs
    • Travel.State.Gov provides travelers helpful information including passport application procedures, enrollment in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, COVID-19 Country Information and travel advisories.
  • CIEE Health Risk Index Report
    • CIEE has expanded the lens for assessing risk to include a multitude of inputs and indicators that better inform faculty and students on the relative safety in a particular region, country, and city.

    • Curious about the vaccination rate worldwide? Visitors to this website can view a real-time vaccination tracker.
  • Johns Hopkins University and Medicine
    • This website provides up-to-date information about vaccines and data visualizations focused on worldwide vaccination.
  • WorldOMeter
    • View up-to-date information on Coronavirus cases, mortality rates and recovery rates. 
  • KFF
    • Explore state-level data on a variety of COVID-19 metrics, including the latest hotspots and hospitalizations; cases, deaths and vaccination rates by race and ethnicity; and cases and deaths at long-term care facilities.
  • European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)
    • On a weekly basis, the ECDC provides updates regarding COVID-19 variants, country overviews and situation updates.
  • COVID Act Now
    • Find any location and view the vaccination progress in that area.
  • Statista
    • View statistics of confirmed COVID-19 cases, vaccination rates and mortality rates for each country.
