Sally A. Gillman, Ph.D.
Since 2011, Dr. Sally Gillman has been overseeing all outgoing education abroad/exchange programs, all incoming exchange programs and supporting faculty as they develop classes to be taught in international locations for Winter Break, Spring Break and the Summer. Sally and her team have worked tirelessly to be creative and innovative with student mobility and take great pride in the growing Jacks Start Abroad and Semester Study Center programs for SDSU students. Before moving to the Office of International Affairs, Sally served as a faculty member in the College of Education and Human Sciences from 2003-2012. She served as a faculty leader for the Africa Education Abroad program that traveled with students to 4-5 countries in West Africa each May for 8 years. Sally holds a B.S. in Biochemical Science from the University of Vermont and both M.S. and Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with specializations in developmental psychology, cultural anthropology and data analytics.
Cassandra graduated from Northern State University with a B.A. in History & German after spending a year abroad in Magdeburg, Germany. She earned her Geography M.S. at South Dakota State University. During her graduate program, she had the opportunity to travel to and attend international conferences in Romania and Moldova. She has worked in the Office of International Affairs at SDSU since 2017.
