Location
The National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (NPIT) is based in Toulouse, France. Toulouse is a city of 44,000 people located in southwestern France, near the Pyrenees. Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France. You can visit any location in France by bus or metro and can walk to most destinations within the inner city.
The University
NPIT has nineteen research laboratories and is home to 6,000 students with 1,440 being international students. NPIT is composed of seven schools:
- National Institute of Agronomy-ENSAT
- National Institute of Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Hydraulics and Communications-ENSEEIHT
- National Institute of Engineering in Chemical and Technological Arts-ENSIACET
- National Engineering School of Tarbes-ENIT
- Engineering School of Purpan-EIP
- National School of Meterology-ENM
- National Veterinary School of Toulouse-ENVT
Course Options
NPIT offers students the opportunity to study and do research at a dynamic and multidisciplinary university. Students can take advantage of a unique opportunity to study animal sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, chemical engineering, computer science, engineering technology, electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications of the highest standards.

NPIT has many different accommodations available to visiting international students. The housing options include residence halls, room in a private home, shared accommodation, and privately rented accommodations. NPIT has a university cafeteria is available to students as well as many excellent restaurants in the area.
Costs & Financial Aid
The cost of the SDSU-NPIT program is approximately 15-20% more than what you would pay to attend SDSU, depending on housing and other choices. Students pay SDSU tuition and fees and pay NPIT housing and meal costs. Additional costs include international airfare, passport, visa, and personal expenses including additional travel. This program is eligible for state and federal financial aid as long as students are enrolled in at least 12 credits during a semester.
